Ottoson Middle School

Ottoson Middle School (OMS for short) is a middle school in Arlington, Massachusetts, United States, serving students in grades 6–8. The acting principal of the school is Judy Malone Neville. The assistant principals are Eric Saum and John J. Gonsalves. Before, there were two middle schools in Arlington, one in the East Arlington and one in the Arlington Heights, which is now Ottoson Middle School. Ottoson usually has around 1,000 students about 45 teachers, and 20 other staff members. Some of these teachers include Mr. Martinez, a tech teacher that served in Vietnam, Mr. Foley, one of the Latin teachers, Mr. Janota-Bzowski, a 7th grade math teacher, and Ms. Kilgore, the drama teacher.

At OMS, each grade is divided into clusters. There are five clusters in the sixth grade, and three clusters in the seventh and eighth grade. The sixth grade clusters are the 610's, the 620's, the 630's, the 640's, and the 650's. The seventh grade clusters are the 750's , the 760's, and the 770's. The eighth grade clusters are the 800's, the 810's, and the 820's. In sixth grade,there are three teachers per cluster,but in the seventh and eighth grade there are four teachers per cluster.
