[edit] Little context in Doctor Hanamaru
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Doctor Hanamaru, by Discospinster (talk ยท contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Doctor Hanamaru is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Doctor Hanamaru, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 20:20, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Anime/manga stubs
Please do not create any more stubs if all the information you can provide anything more then that it is a manga, who it is written by and a list of character. These types of stubs are undesirable. (ex. Alabaster (manga), The Adventure of Rock) --Farix (Talk) 20:39, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
- More detail would definitely be helpful. But don't create a one or two sentence article and expect other editors to fill it out. That doesn't happen very often on Wikipedia and with over a thousand anime and manga stub, they will easily get lost. --Farix (Talk) 20:50, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
-
-
- FYI, I am "one of the chiefs" of WP:ANIME. Not that the project has any chiefs to begin with. And I am in the process of going through the stub cat to check for articles that are no longer stubs and articles that have only one sentence and marking them as {{db-a1}}. --Farix (Talk) 21:39, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

- Much better then they were. In fact, they are starting to come out of the stub stage. But the plot sections should be written from an out-of-universe perspective. --Farix (Talk) 22:07, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

- I much rather see an anime or manga article start off as Start-Class article instead of as a stub. Mostly because stubs provide almost no useful information. As for a good examples for out-of-universe, you can take a look at articles that have already made it to GA or even FA standing. They wouldn't have reached those stages if they didn't conform to WP:WAF. --Farix (Talk) 22:20, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

(deindent) It has nothing to do with spoilers, but the tone you use and trying to bring in as much external information that is available. Essentially, you are summarizing the plot from the point of view of a reader. While not the best example because of progressive changes by other editors, you can look at the "Setting" and "Characters" sections of Maburaho. --Farix (Talk) 23:15, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:Gringo-1.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Gringo-1.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:19, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Astro Boy (manga character)
It should be moved to Astro Boy (character), see this section, if you may comment there that'd be great. You may also want to include the information from this past article to Astro's before the history is lost in the supposed move. Just a thought. Lord Sesshomaru
- I moved it. Unless different fictional characters from various mediums share the same name, adding "(character)" to the article name should be enough. For example if, and only if, "Astro Boy (TV character)" is something different from "Astro Boy (manga character)"--Nohansen 18:04, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Metropolis
I will be glad to help you out with Metropolis. [1] I just need to know what to do. --JDitto 01:54, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Phoenix 2772
The animanga infobox is not needed, see here. Also, it's not about "taking [Tezuka] out of the picture" but information solely about him (filmography and article) should be in his article. Furthermore, the "See also" section doesn't help much when the tezuka article is linked in the main body and the List of Osamu Tezuka anime is just a clone of Category:Osamu Tezuka anime. I'm helping the Tezuka articles, Man. Isn't that what you wanted?--Nohansen 22:48, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Re:
- I know I'm not an "Osamu Tezuka anime", that's why I didn't add myself to the Category: Osamu Tezuka anime
- I've never edited the Metropolis (2001 film) or Metropolis (manga) articles, so I've no idea what you're talking about.
- If you create or edit an article, know that others will edit it, and within reason you should not prevent them from doing so.
So, we cool?--Nohansen 01:54, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
-
- You do know you're the one who placed me in the Category: Osamu Tezuka anime, right?
- I don't think I'm being unreasonable. I gave you my reasons.
- Don't bother with the Outlaw Star article, it's just an anonymous user messing with my edits. It just doesn't like I'm removing the list of ships.
By the way, what was done to the Metropolis article that was uncalled for?--Nohansen 13:56, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] No problem
Now you see how you added me? It's no problem but, next time, be more careful. And don't go threating with taking it up with the administrators... that's not nice, especially when it wasn't my doing.
It's all in good faith, Man. We're just trying to help.--Nohansen 14:16, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hi there
Do you have both parts of Osamu Tezuka's Nextworld manga? I only have part one, but I need some people to create the article. If you don't have them, I'll fill in part one for now. Thank you. Boso 16:51, 25 August 2007
[edit] Tezuka categories
I fixed some WP:OCAT problems in Category:Osamu Tezuka. I also created the NOGALLERY Category:Osamu Tezuka media. So whenever you upload an image or audio clip belonging to an Osamu Tezuka article, you can add it to this (and only this) new category.
I think it looks better now. Don't you?--Nohansen 17:31, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use disputed for Image:Crime And Punishment-1.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Crime And Punishment-1.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:22, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
