Otago University (soccer)

Otago University is the football team of the University of Otago. The team is based at Logan Park, Dunedin in an area immediately beside the University of Otago. campus. The base consists of the Logan Park training facility and the teams home ground the Caledonian. Currently consisting of five teams playing in the top five soccersouth leagues. The First Team is coached in partnership by James Vaughan and Simon Mead. The first team also plays annually in the Chatham Cup New Zealand's premier knockout tournament in men's football (soccer). As a member of Soccersouth is also a member of Otago United who participates in the New Zealand Football Championship. The clubs most recent successes came in 2006 with the second team coached by Mark Schollum and James Coombes and the third team coached by Richard Wright winning their respective leagues.
