Ota, Fukui

Ota (織田町; -chou) was a town located in Nyū District, Fukui, Japan.

On February 1, 2005 Ota, the nearby town Asahi, and the neighboring village Miyazaki all merged with the town of Echizen. As of this merger Ota no longer exists as an independent municipality.

As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 5,194 and a density of 132.43 persons per km². The total area was 39.22 km².
