Oswald Houston

Oswald Houston (1798–June 11, 1861) was a public official in early Atlanta.
Born in Abbeville County, South Carolina moved to Atlanta in May,1847 where he served as city treasurer until he was stricken with paralysis in 1855 which made him an invalid till his death.
He was buried at Oakland Cemetery. Houston Street (now John Wesley Dobbs) was named for him.
