User talk:Osumailguy
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It is felt that the article you created at Tis gar plen is not suitable for a Wikipedia article, which must have a notable subject and be verifiable. I have moved it to User:Osumailguy, which is where users are free to write about themselves. You are at liberty to move it back into the (Main) namespace but bear in mind that if you do so, it is likely to be nominated for deletion.
Note, however, that the purpose of a user page is to enable active editors of Wikipedia to introduce themselves to other editors. Wikipedia is not a general hosting service, so your user page is not a personal homepage. Content unrelated to Wikipedia or its editing is likely to be removed.
Please see the user page guidelines, especially this section for more information. -- RHaworth 18:33, 13 December 2005 (UTC)
Why move it? Your article was patent vanity and made absolutely no attempt to establish your notability. Not wishing to be rude, I am sure you are perfectly OK guy, but in the context of an encyclopedia - you have a website and a blog - so what? I have the RHaworth.net domain name and three pseudo-blogs (listed near the bottom of my home page) but my Wikipedia entry was created for me as an attack page and quite properly deleted because I am not notable. [edit] Image:Osumailguy-tgp.jpg listed for deletion
An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Osumailguy-tgp.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.
