Ostwestfalen-Lippe (abbreviation OWL) is a region in the federal state North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany. Translated to English the Name would be East Westphalia Lippe. It's the eastern part of the region Westphalia together with the Lippe region. The major cities in the region are Bielefeld and Paderborn. The area of the region is congruent with the area of the administrative region Detmold.One of the most important sights in the region is the Hermannsdenkmal. The region has got 2.07 million inhabitants.
