[edit] Kasdan Pasha of Vidin

I recently saw a New York Times article from 1853 that names Osman as Kasdan, can anyone explain why Osman's name would be interpreted as Kasdan? They refer to him a Pasha Kasdan Oglu of Widdin (Vidin). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.35.84.36 (talk) 03:58, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
