Osmani or Usmani or Othmani or Uthmani (Arabic: عثمانی) is a common Muslim family name.

The name signifies ancestry from Uthman (Arabic: عثمان بن عفان), third Khalifa of Sunni Islam. They have traditionally sunni Barelwi ideology which goes to Sufism.They always have very hard core sunni barelwi sholars in Mecca Masjid and in Medina Masjid of Hyderabad India Where they were Rulers .Present M.P of hyderabad Asaduddin Owaisi is also Osmani sunni.
