[edit] Love in Bright Landscapes
Am unable to check on the APRA website but would like to confirm (with references) that James Paterson was credited as co-writer for "Raining Pleasure" - can't find reference to this on the album sleeve. Dan arndt (talk) 05:26, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- I just checked the APRA website-it is working and returns the result we need:type raining pleasure in at http://www.apra.com.au/cms/worksearch/worksearch.srvlt. He is credited correctly as a co-writer of the song on the credits of The Paradise Motel's Some Deaths Take Forever EP if I recall correctly.
- In that period James P's contributions weren't credited well (I believe Born Sandy only mentions "Songwriting contributions gratefully received from James Paterson" whereas he got credited on the label of the "Goodbye Little Girl" B-side but it was never registered with the publishers (and therefore he never got paid!) - PS Just dug out my copy of the Some Deaths Take Forever EP-their fractured, dubby cover of Raining Pleasure is clearly credited to McComb/Paterson - so there ya go! Oscillon (talk) 14:11, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

- Not certain how to include any of this in any of the articles - probably only under Born Sandy Devotional will have to check & confirm album sleeves - possibly "Goodbye Little Boy"'s B-Side , which was "Go Home Eddie", but as I don't have a copy - you would need to find some proof. Unfortunately as the only reference to his contribution on "Raining Pleasure" is from The Paradise Motel's Some Deaths Take Forever I don't think that is an acurate reference (it may be right but not definitive enough). - Have included a little more information on the article Raining Pleasure noting that the song was covered by The Paradise Motel, the APRA website also mentions that the song was performed by The Phosphenes, WEMO and Charles Jenkins but as none of these artists are notable (i.e. articles on Wikipedia) I haven't made mention of them. I have also made sure that James Paterson has been attributed as a co-song writer for all The Triffids' songs that APRA has him listed as a co-writer. If he lets you know of anything worth noting, particularly in relation to early Triffids or David McComb, then include it in the relevant articles. Would be interested in what his relationship with the band was - did he ever perform with them? Dan arndt (talk) 04:10, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
