[edit] Contested Deletion
There is not an awful lot of content, but the subject still passes WP:BIO, and is a valid stub. --Eastlygod (talk) 15:47, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
It's definitely a stub article, but Wikipedia:WikiProject College football consideres all college head football coaches notable. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mike Gottsch for similar arguments and reasoning.--Paul McDonald (talk) 15:50, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Re-Speedy Deletion??
An Administrator has attempted to re-invoke a speedy deletion on this page. The admin's comment in the history of the page states "only admins may remove speedy deletion tags" yet the tag says "If this page does not meet the criteria for speedy deletion, or you intend to fix it, please remove this notice, but do not remove this notice from pages that you have created yourself." I created the page, I did not remove the notice. It does not say "only an Admin" may remove the notice.
I believe that this is some kind of retaliation for a previous block of articles the admin attempted to speedy delete. See Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2008 May 16#Head Coach Articles for some of the details.--Paul McDonald (talk) 22:37, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] ANOHTER Deletion?
This article has been nominated for a third deletion, using the same old reason. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Oscar Dahlene. Again. Sigh.--Paul McDonald (talk) 13:29, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] 1911 Ottawa University Braves
Ottawa University 1910 season results
Ottawa University Braves coaching records
There is a conflict on who coached the 1911 Ottawa football team.09er (talk) 15:30, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- Look at that! I'll contact the school and see what gives, but my guess is that (as was common practice in the early 1900s) there was a coach by "title" and then another coach by "action" -- as an example, this happened with Samuel Colgate, Jr. at Colgate University.--Paul McDonald (talk) 15:44, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
