They played and lost to the eventual 4A state champion of Florida. Other seniors included all-stars Sergio Allen and Nick Bennett, who are now playing college football at College of the Redwoods in California, Josh Willett, Justin Hart, Tom Lewis (currently playing at the University of Central Florida). Also in the senior class were Matt Ramsey, who is playing baseball at Eckerd College, John Brielmaier, Jeremy Davis, Juan Mckinney, Billy Turner, and a few others.

Osceola High School's Mission:

"Osceola's High School mission is to sustain an environment where staff, students, and community work collaboratively to support all students in meeting or exceeding graduation requirements."

The school is named for Osceola, war chief of the Seminole Indians in Florida. Osceola led a small band of warriors (never more than 100) in the Seminole resistance during the Second Seminole War when the United States tried to remove the Seminoles from their lands. He exercised a great deal of influence on Micanopy, the highest ranking chief of the Seminoles.

In 2008, Osceola was reported to be plagued with rampant violence and defiance.
