Oscar Marchisio was born on May 6, 1950 in Genova, Italy and resides in Bologna, Italy. He is married and has two daughters.
He finished his degree and masteral course in Philosophy at the University of Genova.
He owns a business consulting office in Bologna, Fuzzy Net S.A.S., which has a branch office in Beijing, China.
Oscar Marchisio is a sociologist and a researcher, expertise on work organizations and marketing. He also holds a teaching position at the University of Urbino, Faculty of Economics and University of Pisa, Faculty of Political Science. He also collaborates with CGIL, an Italian labor union, in various researches and studies. Aside from these, he also conceptualizes and organizes regional projects concerning food, culture and environmental landscape.
He had also to his credits 39 books with topics ranging from economy to sociology, from Chinese study to romance stories. He is also responsible for the publishing house Socialmente and for the on-line journal Il Provinciale.net. He also writes articles on various newspapers like Carta, Il Manifesto e Liberazione.
