The Orthoteny Principle is a theory that states that UFO sightings generally occur in a straight line during a short term period of time.

The Orthoteny Principle was created by Aimé Michel, a French journalist, in 1958.

The theory is extensively documented in the well known UFO research document The Condon Report (p. 890-892).
