(Australian) Award winning Local Perth Actor born in England (October 1973) as Lee Barry Ousby and the only son to parents Carol and David Ousby and a sibling to three sisters Jane, Jackie and Lynne Donna. Grew up in Fremantle, Western Australia. Attended Como Senior Collage and John Curtain Collage. Ousby received vocal training in 1993 by Nigel Rideout(W.A.P.P.A)and under went a major ear, nose and throat operation to correct his breathing due to sleep apnea. Ousby enrolled in a sound engineering degree at W.A.P.P.A in 1991 only to pull out one year later due to his ever growing acting frustration. Four years later he studied acting in London 1996.

Moving from the comforts of childhood in England to a vast open, young and extremely diverse country was a struggle and sometimes a lonely place for Ousby. School life in particular played a remarkable role in leading Ousby to the Acting world. It was not that he performed in school plays, in fact he failed drama at high school and opted out of the performing arts course at John Curtin to take on a position in the John Curtin Soccer program (It was apparent that Ousby's talents did not present themselves in soccer). It was the struggle of schooling life and constant change of schools that tormented the youngster. The frequent change of schools created the issue of friendships (lack of) making the transition of British life to Australian life all the more difficult. It is known that Ousby often played truant from school and on one occasion appeared twice in the whole year for one particular subject receiveing a B-. The report stated 'you hardly knew he was there'.

Ousby started out working the lights and sound in the late 80's at the outback Australian restuarant (Now a night club) for a well known comedy team 'The stunned Mullets ' fronted by performer/writer Frankie Rooster (Minutello) and international sound inpersonator Nick the Noise(Widmer). He performed only once with the Mullets. He later formed the duo 'The CrackerJax' with school friend Michael Dornan and worked the Perth scene with comedians David Lenny, Colin Coleand Pommy Johnson. He later became a presenter for 100FM's breakfast show that aired in 1992 and lasted 3 months was dramatically taken off air for the show's content. The show's fan base (including Northbridge BAKERY) turned up at the studio on the final show and boycotted the station. The West Australian newpaper printed an article stating the whole fiasco was staged to promote the stations declining target listeners. This was later denied by station manager Ross and had later stated he had never liked Ousby's programme as it was too Monty Pythonish. Ross had been part of the original selection board that had passed the early morning show entitled 'Morning with the Parahna Brothers. Ousby later worked for Chaplins (UK based Theatre/Film and Television Company)producing/writing/directing. He played a rather disturbing role as a primative hairy hunter in the Award winning History channel Documentary - Quest for Dragons. In one scene he is walking through an English wasp infested swamp. The documentary was fronted by Dr Phil Manning and directed by Laurence Barnett (Stonehenge Rediscovered/Bear Evidence). Ousby has been interviewed by Perth farourite Dita Jevons[1] who presents for Fremantle's 107.9FM and has followed Ousby's career since it's beginning.

Ousby made his theatrical debut in 1987 in Fremantle and has gone on to perform on off Broadway Theaters and the Westend. Venues include: The Grand Theater, The Grand Theatre (Lancaster) Wyvern (Swindon) Perth Entertainment Centre and the Palace Theatre. Performed in productions in London, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth (AUSTRALIA) Credits include: The Woman in Black, Equus, Hamlet. Ousby's writing works include 'The Raven ' adapted from Edgar Allen Poes ' The Raven ' which premiered in the UK in 1999.
