Prince Orson Guy Kihaʻapiilani Wilcox born 1953, was the son of Prince Robert Kalanikupuapaikalaninui Wilcox II of the House of Laanui, a collateral branch of the House of Kamehameha. [1]
He was born September 2, 1953. His mother was his father's first wife, Martina Tamara Ahuna. His only full-blood sister is the Princess Venetta Owana Kaohelelani Wilcox and his half-brother Prince Robert Keeaumoku. His Hawaiian name Kiha'apiilani or Kiha-a-Pillani (Kiha I am Piilani). The name was that of a Moi of Maui who was his own ancestor from both his great-grandfather Robert William Kalanihiapo Wilcox and his great-grandmother Princess Theresa Owana Laanui who both were descended from chiefs of Maui. The current pretender is rather his cousin Princess Owana Salazar and her son Prince Kalokuokamaile III. Even though his grandfather Prince Robert Kalanikupuapaikalaninui Wilcox I had sons, who his own father was one, his daugther, Princess Helena Kalokuokamaile, was the successor and her descendant. His descendants, unlike those of his cousin Owana Salazar, retain their family surname Wilcox. But in Hawaiian standard of chiefly rank he was inferior to his cousin Owana, as his own mother, Martina Tamara Ahuna, was not a Hawaiian aliʻi or high chief of any degree. For Hawaiian chiefly rank was measure first through the mother's lineage then the father and as Owana's mother was the Princess Helena Kalokuokamaile, she was of a higher rank. Aliʻi with proud paternal lineage were consider kaukaualiis who served the ali'i nuis as kahili bearers and retainers. [2]

He married first Marilyn Marella Mitchell, born March 1, 19... Prince Kaulahea Kaohelalani Wilcox, Prince Kahealani Kuuipo Wilcox, Princess Owana Kalokuokamaile and another daughter were the fruit of this marriage. His second marriage was to Noreen Maidhem, born April 11th, 1969, and with her, he had two sons, who were Prince Kunitamo Wilcox and Prince Isaah Kahaumani Wilcox.
