Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife

The Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife (Tenerife Symphony Orchestra) is an orchestra in the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife in the island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. It is one of the largest in the Canary Islands.

The symphony orchestra was first opened in 1970. It is presently the seat of the Auditorio de Tenerife. One of the best conductors in history was Víctor Pablo Pérez.

The orchestral groups has recorded the main symphony rooms in Spain, Germany and the United Kingdom, it had artists including Krystian Zimerman and Kyung Wha Cheng and others.

The OST has been awarded with the Grand Prix de l’Academie francaise du disque lyrique (French Lyric Disc Academy Grand Prix), the Cannes Classical Awards, Diapason D'or (in 1994 and 1995) and the Choc de Le Monde de la Musique. All awards were awarded at the international level. It also had been awarded by the Premio Ondas in its editions in 1992 and 1996.
