Thanks for uploading Image:Setanta_OhAilpin.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

I used a template and a couple of sites with the stats on them, then added the new information onto the template for each player. Takes longer for players that have been to 2 or more clubs. Orichalcon 02:52, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] How to fix the template "Infobox afl player" bug

Hi,

The template "Infobox afl player" you use has currently a bug for the "careerhighlights=" section, which, I see, obliged you to use a BR kludge, such as:

* Brisbane Lions Best First Year Player 2001

Two informations that would be useful for your work:

1) As a temporary kludge, you can have a better result with the infamous NOWIKI kludge:

 | careerhighlights= <nowiki></nowiki>
* Brisbane Lions Rising Star Nomination 2001
* Brisbane Lions Best First Year Player 2001

The difference being that you won't have an empty line any more between the blue header and the bulletted list of highlights. I have used it on Robert Copeland for instance, cf. the new page code.

2) As a permanent fix, see the code for the Template:Infobox Album, which had the very same bug for years (in its bulletted "Professional reviews" section). It was fixed some months ago (see the template's code, or I think it was [[1]] who found the trick), so the solution exists. Fixing your template the same way they fixed their, would allow you to get a perfect result with just the plain code:

I, and everyone else I've known has always spelled it "humourous". So I guess you can bite my arse on that one. It's the Australian spelling, regardless of whether it's in your little american or british dictionaries. Orichalcon 16:24, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
You may want to see a copy of the Macquarie Dictionary, the standard Australian reference dictionary, which lists "humorous" as being correct, or User talk:Spellmaster. It is very unlikely indeed that I would want to "bite your arse", and Wikipedia does not use how you and everybody else you know spells words as a standard, but prefers to go with verifiable references. Yeah, the team lists probably don't need to go on the Carlton page. Since there is an article on the 1945 VFL Grand Final, I think grand finals can warrant their own wiki page - but they'd need a bit more info than just Carlton's team list (which could be hard for say, the 1906 premiership). Wikipedia cannot accept material that is declared to be "non-commercial use only" or "only for use on Wikipedia". Whilst it may seem reasonable to restrict material that way, Wikipedia content is syndicated around the world on the internet and in print, frequently for commercial purposes.
