It's a sub-article, so there's going to be duplication. It should really be an expansion of the material at the main Opera article (plus some other stuff). The same thing has been done with our sub-articles on national operas. --Folantin (talk) 11:16, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

We have links on WP so there really is no reason for identical text. Of course it's fine to summarize what exists on the main article - or the other way round. --Kleinzach (talk) 11:28, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Expansion is clearly preferable to deletion. As a lead paragraph it seems fine to me, although another summarizing the other stuff below should really be added. Johnbod (talk) 11:42, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

It is best for this article to be merged with Opera. This is a redundant article. - Jay (talk) 05:38, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
