I removed the reference in the article to the meaning "sun-way", as I believe this is made up.

The modern Norwegian word for road or way is "veg" or "vei" and is indeed pronounced like "veig" in Solveig. However, the Old Norse word for way is "vegr" (I believe) and is further removed. I don't think there is a connection, originally.

Also, I have not been able to find any sources giving that meaning. Sverre 06:31, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
