From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Orio Station (折尾駅 Orio-eki?) is a railway station in Yahata Nishi-ku, Kitakyushu, Japan on the Kagoshima Main Line and Chikuho Main Line. It was first opened in 1891. Express trains, including Sonic, Ariake, and Relay Tsubame, stop here.

The two lines serving the station intersect each other at Orio and the lines are connected by a spur track. Thus the station is consist of two separated blocks: main building with bi-level platforms at the crossing point and detached platforms on the spur.

Airport buses leave from near the station to the New Kitakyushu Airport.
