OBE TV (Original Black Entertainment TV) is a British television channel launched in September 2004. It shows film, food, advertisements, sports and talk shows as well as church service programmes. The channel is aimed at black audiences, and shows programmes from South Africa, Nigeria and Ghana. Its programmes are primarily taken from the South African Broadcasting Corporation (the SABC's news broadcasts are shown frequently), but it does broadcast Nollywood productions.
A timeshifted service named OBE +1 launched on Thursday 29th November 2007 and it was replaced by DMAX on 08 January 2008.
