Origami Tree is the first single taken from Melbourne Indie rock band Dardanelles EP of the same name released in 2007.

[edit] Background

"Origami Tree" was written and re-written over nearly four months of gigs. The song is said to be about sociopaths and follows a general theme of many Dardanelles' songs, namely antisocial themes set to a driving danceable rhythm. The single spent 5 weeks in the top 10 of the Australian Alternative Radio Play Chart and was subsequently remixed by Melbourne based electro DJ "Acid Jacks".

[edit] Personnel

  • Josh Quinn-Watson (vocals, keyboard, samples)
  • Alex Cameron (guitar)
  • James Nicolson (bass)
  • Ravi Sandhu (drums)
