[edit] Verification / Inaccurate / Cite Sources Tag

Hmmm... Well, I assembled my part of the article from various publications, mixed in with common knowledge and maybe a bit of personal experience (OK, quite a lot really). I can only think of one way of verifying the accuracy of the article, and even that won't work because it will be different for everybody, and will work for some but not for others :-)

OK, I realise that it's not in the usual mould of Wikipedia sexology articles (i.e. it's written from the female POV - which I can't help; it deals with 'mainstream' sexuality and doesn't mention anal sex once) but I hope it's better than the original stub.

I'll wait to see if the tag stays there for a week or so, then collapse the page back down to the original stub as it was before I started work on it. Presumably this was perfection itself in your eyes.

OK on 'stiff wobbley legs'. Not recommended for tightrope walkers or figure skaters :-) 160.84.253.241 08:17, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

I don't think it's a problem with not being factual, but that it lacks references, and reads in my opinion more like a "How to" guide. See Wikipedia:No original research and Wikipedia:Verifiability - material shouldn't be based on personal experience, but published sources. Mdwh 22:58, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
OK, just rip out whatever you don't like, or take it back down to the stub. I don't mind, or really care. I'm off somewhere else now. (Unwatch) 160.84.253.241 08:13, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
Thanks a lot to 160.84.253.241 for expanding on my original stub. If you are reading this would you mind telling me which publications you used? My primary sources for the stub were "The Joy of Sex" and various web sites which can't really be cited. I'd hate to delete everything that isn't in the Joy of Sex, because it's getting to be an old book now (1972). The article is getting better but I'd like to answer Mdwh's criticisms at some point, and get rid of the tag. Caviare 10:38, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
