First of all, great job on the initial entry! The only suggestion that I have is the inclusion of a Hiking/Trails section, with, perhaps Aguirre Springs NRA, Dripping Springs Natural Area, and Soledad Canyon Day Use Areas each categorized in their respective subsections.

Note: added a test photo of the Organs (comment revised). If this is acceptable, or other photos are desired, please contact me. Neomexicanus_lc 07:01, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Geology and references

I edited the geology in the intro, since it was incorrect, and put in a reference for part of the information. I don't have a reference at hand for all of the geology, but what is in the article now is consistent with the reference I used. Since these are not in fact volcanic necks, I deleted the recently added {{volcano}} tag. (I don't think that that tag needs to be applied to all features with some extrusive igneous characteristics; please comment if you disagree.)

Overall, the article needs references; certainly lots of good info, but without sources, it's not 100% legitimate on Wikipedia. I'll try to add some more references/cites. -- Spireguy 17:09, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Agree, and you could be more restrictive yet on what constitutes volcanic features. Nothing has erupted in or around the Organs in a looooong time.
Incidentally, the Chronic book is known to have some weirdness (screw the euphemism -- rather, downright errors) in some of her descriptions. I'm not enough of an expert on these particular mountains, nor on the book, to judge whether this is one of the places where there are problems, but better references should be sought. -- Bill-on-the-Hill (talk) 23:22, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
