Orgyen Kusum Lingpa is a terton and Nyingma lineage holder within Tibetan Buddhism. He teaches Dzogchen at the The San Francisco Bay Area Vajrakilaya Centers he established in May 1995. He is also known as Pema Tumpo. His name means "Treasure Revealer of the Three Kayas".
His supporters claim that he is the Mahasiddha Drilbupa and incarnation of Lhalung Pelgyi Dorje, the monk who assassinated the anti-Buddhist Bon Emperor Langdarma in 842 CE and then hid in an Yerpa cave. [1][2]
His unique lineage is directly from Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava and is known as the Pema Nying-Thig, "The Innermost Spirituality."
Mingyur Namkhé Dorje, 4th Dzogchen Rinpoche, prophesied about Orgyen Kusum Lingpa:
"An emanation of Vajrapani will appear in the year known as "guarding wealth"... He will blossom like a lily, and then unleash himself like a thunderstorm...He will guide all those connected with him to Sikhavati, The Realm of Bliss."
Kusum Lingpa gave Alan Wallace Dzogchen teachings and the Kalachakratantra empowerment according to the lineage of Lama Mipham.
