Organic Inc. is a digital advertising agency based in San Francisco, CA. It was founded in 1993 with the primary focus of building commercial web sites.
Originally called Organic Online, Organic Inc. was founded as the first agency solely focused on creating advertising for the Internet. They created the first banner ads, which ran on HotWired. It went public in 2000. Like all companies in this space, it was also affected when the Internet bubble burst. It was re-privatized in 2001, and in 2003, Organic became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Omnicom Group; a status which continues today.
