I think it is better to make a distinction between official statements by politicians and of people talking in private functions like Van Tan at this stage. His contribution could later be discussed in the history section or even better a new article been created. I think that if OREC is really going to be created the homepage of OPEC on wikipedia could serve as a good example. (Tadju (talk) 16:59, 2 May 2008 (UTC))
