Oren Yiftachel

Oren Yiftachel (Hebrew: אורן יפתחאל‎, born in 1956) is a professor of geography at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Beersheba.[1]. His most recent articles include "Unsettling Colonial Presents" and "Spaces of Ethnic Conflict" both published in 2008. He has been an outspoken critic of Israeli policies in the West Bank and Gaza strip. He has written op-ed articles in Haaretz entitled 'the Lurking Shadow of Expulsion' with Neve Gordon and 'Jewish Truce or Colonialism.'[2] The topic of his lectures include Ethnocracy and nationalism.[3]
