The Oregon spotted frog (Rana pretiosa; meaning "precious frog") is a member of the true frogs from the family Ranidae.

The Oregon spotted frog reaches a length of 4 - 10 cm. Females are slightly larger than males. These frogs range in colour from green to reddish-brown and have black spots on the head and back.

In Oregon, the Oregon spotted frog's current range is Deschutes, Lane and Klamath counties.[2]

The Vancouver Aquarium and the Greater Vancouver Zoo are working on a recovery program for these frogs, which are the only two such projects in North America.[3].[4]
