Oregon Ballet Theatre

Oregon Ballet Theatre is the premiere ballet company for the state of Oregon. The company is the result of the 1992 merging of Ballet Oregon and Pacific Ballet Theater. James Canfield, formerly a dancer with Joffrey Ballet as well as a principal dancer for Pacific Ballet Theater, served as artistic director of Oregon Ballet Theater from its inception until 2003. Christopher Stowell is the current artistic director. Prior to that, he was a principal dancer with San Francisco Ballet for 16 years. The company was recently featured in Pointe magazine with Principal dancer Kathi Martuza on the cover.
Oregon Ballet Theatre also has a school, the School of Oregon Ballet Theatre. Damara Bennett is the director of the school.
