Ore Mountains

The Ore Mountains is the translation of the local name for several mountain ranges where ore is mined. They include:

  • Ore Mountains (Central Europe) (German: Erzgebirge, Czech: Krušné hory) refers to the mountains in Saxony, Germany and in the Czech Republic.
  • Slovak Ore Mountains (Slovak: Rudohorie), in western Slovakia.
  • Transylvanian Ore Mountains (Romanian: Munţii Metaliferi) in Romania and Hungary, comprised of several smaller mountain/hill groups:
