From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Welcome to Wikipedia! We could really use your help to create new content, but your recent additions (such as Mary Sue Wyss) are considered nonsense. Please refrain from creating nonsense articles. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. --ArmadilloFromHell 23:41, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

Creating articles that disparage people is not a good thing to do.

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism, and if you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you. --ArmadilloFromHell 23:42, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Duff.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Duff.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 03:46, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Hey, I added a {{GFDL}} tag to this image, assuming that was your intent. If not, please go to the page and remove it, or if you prefer, you can use another tag such as found on WP:ICT the copyright tags page. {{GFDL-self}} may be most applicable in this circumstance. [edit] Signature

Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button Image:Wikisigbutton.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! FrozenPurpleCube 19:13, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Hey, I've read your comments on the Duff Energy Drink AFD and I think most, if not all of your confusion over the situation may reflect your being a relatively new user to Wikipedia. It might help if you sought some mentoring through the Adopt a User program. There's nothing wrong with anything you did, it's just that since you don't know how Wikipedia works, you may not be doing things in the most effective way. If you've got some specific questions, I can also help you. FrozenPurpleCube 21:55, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:FlamingMoe.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:FlamingMoe.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 06:23, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of 47Reviews

A tag has been placed on 47Reviews requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
