From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This template generates an ordinal date. Used alone as {{Ordinal date}} it will generate the ordinal date for the current year-month-day. Check the result at tycho.usno.navy.mil after purging this page.
- This template may also be used to generate the ordinal date for any Gregorian calendar dates by passing the proper syntax to the following variables:
- year: Any integer, as well as numeric formulas, calculations work for years in the common era and in the pre-christian era starting at year -4800 (4801 BC).
- month: A positive integer from 1 through 12. Leading zeros are allowed, as well as numeric formulas.
- day: A positive integer from 1 to 31. Leading zeros are allowed, as well as numeric formulas.
- Examples for 15-MAR-2007 and 15-MAR-2008 (leap year):
- {{ Ordinal date | year=2007 | month=03 | day=15 }} = 160
- {{ Ordinal date | year=2008 | month=03 | day=15 }} = 160
