Orange Twin Conservation Community

The Orange Twin Conservation Community is a pedestrian-based eco-village based five miles from downtown Athens, Georgia. It is run by the people who run Orange Twin Records in the same area. The Orange Twin Conservation Community has many ties to the Elephant 6 Collective. It was originally founded by Laura Carter of Elf Power. There are currently 25 people who are living full-time at the community. The community faces legal challenges everyday because of Georgia's strict laws governing standards of living. Bands such as The Olivia Tremor Control and Neutral Milk Hotel have been known to have, at one point or another, given special concerts for the community.
