Dedicated on November 9, 1952 at an approximate cost of $1,150,000, Orange County High School combined students from the Orange & Unionville High Schools, and the Barboursville & Gordonsville Junior High Schools. In 1967, new classrooms, science areas, cafeteria, and a library were added. in 1995 The Hornet Sports Center Field House was completed to provide students and the community at large access to a year round physical training center with a weight room, indoor track, basketball, volleyball and squash/handball courts.
