Oragen drugs are highly experimental nucleic acid technologies related to Ampligen, developed by HEMISPHERx Biopharma, Inc. It is hoped they will have antiviral effects. They are undergoing pre-clinial (in-vitro) trials.

It is believed that Oragen regulates the RNase L pathway and may also have effects specifically against the HIV virus.
