Talk:Optical frequency multiplier
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I have substantially revised the article and suggest that someone adds the following external link (to a page under my control):

[edit] Reason for renaming
I renamed this article to "be about" the devices as opposed to the physics behind them. This is in keeping with the series of articles on non-linear optics in general. For instance, there is an article on Optical parametric amplifier, not "parametric amplification", and similarily Optical parametric oscillator as opposed to "parametric oscillation".
I certainly don't mean to suggest this is a "better" naming, but it is definitely more uniform. If someone does wish to put these articles under the physics I won't disagree, but I think it's important we make this change to all of the articles to avoid confusion.
