The OSSTMM Professional Security Analyst (OPSA) is a certification provided by the Institute for Security and Open Methodologies. It is a certification of applied knowledge designed to improve the work done as a professional security analyst. Those who have passed the exam have proved that they can walk the walk in data network security analysis. An OPSA is capable of critical security evaluations and decision-making required in both technical and management fields. The certification goals are designed to certify resourcefulness, the scientific method and the OSSTMM methodology.
Courses are provided by certified training partners as well as recognized educational institutions under the ISECOM Academic Alliance program. ISECOM provides certification of course trainers and certification of the students who successfully pass the exam.

ISECOM and certified training partners provide training course in order to prepare students for the exam. In general, those courses are designed to teach critical security thinking and the OSSTMM methodology. The students need to solve practical security analysis exercises and they learn how to read standard tool output.
