Ophisternon is a genus of fish in the Synbranchidae family. It contains the following species:
- Obscure swamp eel (Ophisternon aenigmaticum)
- Guinea swamp eel (Ophisternon afrum)
- Bengal eel (Ophisternon bengalense)
- Blind cave eel (Ophisternon candidum)
- Australian swamp eel (Ophisternon gutturale)
- Blind swamp eel (Ophisternon infernale)
