[edit] Free Masons

This may not be about the article itself but does anyone know why the symbol for the Free Masons is included in the symbol of this mission? That may be something worth looking at.

I'm also curious to know why the square and compass would appear on the seal.

That image is from a private collection. The badge depicted was created by a Freemason in Ontario, and was to be presented to brethren serving in the Canadian Forces in Afghanistan by their fellow lodge members. It is not an official Canadian Forces badge or pin.

[edit] Current Forces

Isn't Operation Athena the 2003 deployment only, or does it also refer to the actual deployment in the Kandahar region? Shouldn't all that is listed under "Current Forces" be in another article? 70.52.47.240 (talk) 13:48, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
