Talk:Open MPI

This reads very POV-ishly - but I'm not an expert in the subject, so I'm loath to mess too much. Pseudomonas 10:47, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

"best Message Passing Interface (MPI) library available": an encyclopedia does not determine this sort of thing 74.130.102.155 17:11, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

Stolen from http://www.open-mpi.org/ : "Open MPI is therefore able to combine the experise, technologies, and resources from all across the High Performance Computing community in order to build the best MPI library available." vs. "Open MPI is a project combining technologies and resources from several other projects (FT-MPI, LA-MPI, LAM/MPI, and PACX-MPI) in order to build the best Message Passing Interface (MPI) library available.". Or "A completely new MPI-2 compliant implementation, Open MPI offers advantages for system and software vendors, application developers and computer science researchers." vs. "Open MPI offers advantages for system and software vendors, application developers and computer science researchers." etc.pp. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.179.18.189 (talk) 09:36, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

I was going to add something like this:

Since the "Leopard" release of Mac_OS_X, Open MPI has been included by default, with integration into the Xgrid frameworks.

but I wasn't really sure where to put it. Reference here: http://www.apple.com/macosx/technology/multicore.html --Earin (talk) 19:10, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
