Talk:Open GI
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Misys (Open GI) meets criteria 1 of the cited guideline in that it has articles frequently published not only on its company standing and progress in journals such as Insurance Times, but the TRIPOS operating system is well documented by Martin Richards, with Misys noted as the current owners.
In addition, the company was "listed on ranking indices, produced by well-known and independent publications, of important companies" until the recent management buyout. It seems rather abrupt to deny it an entry because corporate semenatics have changed, especially when the change itself has stimulated debate about it's unique market position both technicaly and from a business perspective.
[edit] article name
"Open GI" should be "Open G I"
[edit] subjective notes without citation
I have removed the "considered to be the most functionally rich" passage as it has no citation/justification and no press articles I can find support this claim. The same research found more criticism that Misys/Open GI have 'locked in' customers without developing their system much from the mid-eighties, yet prices have steadily risen since that time.
