Operation Windmill (OpWml) was a U.S. Navy exploration and training mission to Antarctica in 1947-1948. This operation was a follow up to the First Antarctic Development Project which was called Operation Highjump. The expedition was commanded by Commander Gerald L. Ketchum, and his flagship of the expedition was USS Burton Island.
