Operation Spark

Operation Spark has been used to describe a number of operations in modern warfare.

  1. Operation Spark (1940), was an attempt by officers in the German Wehrmacht to dispose of Adolf Hitler.
  2. Operation Spark (1943), was a military operation conducted by the Red Army in 1943 to lift the Siege of Leningrad
  3. Operation Spark (1973), an operation designed to cover the Syrian and Egyptian military build-up in preparation for Operation Badr, the Syrian and Egyptian invasion of the Golan Heights and the Sinai Peninsula respectively, an act which, along with the subsequent Israeli defence and counter-attack, came down to be known as the Yom Kippur War.
