Operation Pokeweed was an alleged secret operation conducted in part by the U.S. Military's SEAL teams in Panama. The operation had as its goal the apprehension of Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar. SEAL Team Six was deployed from the US aircraft carrier USS Forrestal offshore, but the mission was unsuccessful due to poor pre-assault intelligence.[1]
