A mainframe-class server built on industry standard components that is capable of hosting both IBM mainframe and distributed architecture platforms such as Windows Server and Linux. Open Mainframes bring the traditional mainframe characteristics of Dynamic Provisioning, High RAS, SMP Scaling, and virtualization to the distributed world.
