[edit] Brief history

OpenFrag was founded in May 2003 by a group of volunteers lead by Wilbert van de Ridder. The project originally started as a thread on the Dutch forum Gathering of Tweakers, and quickly grew into a large group of enthusiastic developers and artists. Over the years OpenFrag has had a constantly changing group of developers.

[edit] OpenCDS

OpenCDS is a ValveĀ© Steam inspired application that enables users to easily browse, download, manage, update, and run software, including games. OpenCDS is completely written in Java and is therefore a cross-platform application. OpenCDS is customizable using skins and plugins and is available in many languages. With a sophisticated download and management system users are able to automatically update chosen games for optimal game experience. OpenFrag has created OpenCDS to distribute their content.

[edit] Anvil

Anvil is the Open Source 3D world editor by OpenFrag. It will allow us, and others, to create 3D worlds (known as maps) and is built to be easily extensible. Other Open Source communities should have no trouble customizing Anvil to their own needs.
