OpenAccess

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This article deals with the topic of electronics design. For the concept of open access in scientific literature, see that article

OpenAccess is a community effort to provide interoperability, including unified data exchange among integrated circuit design tools through an open standard data API and reference database supporting that API for IC design. It is coordinated by the OpenAccess Coalition of EDA industry leaders, including Cadence, IBM, Hewlett-Packard LSI Logic, Mitsubishi, Freescale (formerly Motorola), NXP Semiconductors, Silicon Navigator, ST Microelectronics, Sun Microsystems, and Synopsys.

OpenAccess is also a name for several software products, which have nothing to do with EDA.
