OPEX Corporation is a manufacturer of machinery that helps in the automatic processing of mail, especially checks. This equipment can, for example, sort mail automatically based on whether it has a single check and "payment coupon", multiple checks and coupons, or other features, automatically. It can also open envelopes, discard the envelope, and spit out the checks in nice neat stacks.

Some of their machines also do Optical Character Recognition of information found on checks which is also used in automated check processing.

This equipment is used by many banks and other institutions to speed up the processing of mail.

Long known for its incoming mail processing products, in recent years OPEX has expanded in the areas of document imaging and outgoing mail processing. OPEX employs approximately 800 people and has three divisions: OPEX Incoming and Scanning, OPEX Postal Technologies, and OPEX International.
